I just had one of those really odd moments where your mind isn't working as fast as it should be, only to leave you looking like a complete DOOF.I went to Subway to buy my dinner, and as soon as I walked in I noticed there were three girls working there...
So, I got my sub, and as I got closer to the cash, realized that the cashier wasn't a girl, but in fact, a guy.
It was my turn to pay, and the guy says "alaylam...right?"
I stared at him momentarily before I replied (or more like grunted) "uh huh..."
He said "Hey, it's Pat!"
**Thinking quickly, who the hell is Pat?!?!?!"
Me: .....
*Pat looks semi-hurt and goes about his cash duties*
Me holding up two coupons: "Can I use these??"
DOH!
I was filling up my drink when I realized who it was.... we only went to school together for 8 years, jeeze! He looks INCREDIBLY different!
I thought he was a girl! Ha Ha!
Now I feel guilty... I'm going to have to go back and talk to him sometime soon...
